Seconds - 5th Buffalo Serving Bowl
Imperfection:
This glaze is being reconsidered as a whole in the studio because of this very issue. I love this dreamy purple hue but it does tend to develop pitting more than any of my other glazes. Pitting is when the glaze bubbles during firing and the bubbles pop creating a crater or "pit" of unglazed area. They may be small but they are difficult to clean out and the edges can break off if scraped with a utensil. All of which is why this piece is definitely Decor Only.
In classic 5th Buffalo style, this bowl boasts the Purple Haze glaze and the Black Drips.
